Swimming through brush higher than my head coming down from SVC was enough for one day last time I visited the Ventana. Losing my dog bushwhacking back from the Grey Rocks in the Trinity Mountains was my last major scratch fest. I retrieved the dog the next day, but not my desire for that sort of hike yet.
